Our team have been hard at work on a big update to our site auditor. It's almost ready for release, so we're letting you test it!
This one has been in the works for a while now: you've requested new metrics, faster scanning, and better reporting, so we're bringing it to the table.
We've just started a rolling release for the beta version of the new site auditor. We'll be enabling this for more customers each day, so keep an eye on the SEO menu in your sidebar:
We've packed the new site auditor with some great features, so get scanning to check it out now!
Here's an overview of what you'll see:
First up, we've implemented a cleaner and more intuitive layout. There's also a huge range of new metrics and widgets, so you can understand your clients' websites like never before!
You can break down tests by page, see crawl depths, in-links and out-links, a full status code analysis, comparisons against previous site audits, and a lot more. Some of our brand new metrics include page load time, ratio of text to HTML, word count, image count, and page size.
Our site audit algorithm has been given a big overhaul to factor in all of the new metrics, and you can also see a score for every single page we scan. These scores are based on the number of issues, and weighted by the severity of each problem.
Importantly, you can now create a complete site audit report via our report editor. We've added an "ignore" option for all issues, tests, and pages, to quickly exclude anything from your site audit score and reports. We also give you live updates of the scan, so you can check your data as we pull it in.
Oh, and you can re-test individual pages at any time, to instantly assess any on-site updates you've made!
The old site auditor will still be available until the final release of the new version, so you're free to use whichever one you prefer.
Love it? Hate it? We want to hear any feedback you have!
