2020: The Year in Review
2020 has been a year of change. We've adapted and have moved our lives online to work and to socialize.
While it has been easy to focus on the negatives, there are positives that have come from this year too. John Krasinski (best known for playing Jim in The Office) hosted a Some Good News series on YouTube, which highlighted the good that is still happening in the world.
How Businesses Adapted to the Pandemic
When stores, restaurants, cafes were forced to close to stop the spread of COVID-19, the world shifted its focus even more online. In May 2020, e-commerce sales increased by 110.8% compared to May 2019. While physical retail sales decreased in all sectors, e-commerce sales grew massively.
With this came an increased focus on digital marketing across all channels and the need to be able to accurately report on the return of those marketing efforts. In tough times, every penny counts.
How AgencyAnalytics Adapted to the Pandemic
We quickly saw an uptick in people needing to track their data online, with more and more people reaching out to us for help. For agencies and other businesses alike, we knew we needed to be there to help them to track exactly what their marketing efforts were getting them.
As people used new marketing tools and channels to boost their efforts, we enlisted new employees so that we could pump out integrations and meet the demand that our customers needed. In total, our employee count grew 200%!
John, Mikel, David, Clarenz, Adam, and Charles all joined our support team this year. They have all contributed to our industry-leading customer service and differentiated us from the pack. It really shows, too, with our average first-response time rapidly falling to just 4 minutes!
Tyler, Noah, Kyle, Ilya, and Paul came on board in our product team, allowing us to continuously improve and release new integrations and requested features on a regular basis.
Peter, Alex, and Kani joined up in the marketing department, focusing on content, product marketing, and graphic design, respectively. It's this team that allows us to communicate with you, the user, about the latest product updates and industry advice!
Our one-person-strong HR team, Apoorva, joined us earlier this year. She does a lot of the heavy lifting and allows us to continue to expand by finding the right people to join our company.
Gladwin joined us not too long ago, focusing on internal data so that we can make better-informed decisions to keep us on the up and up.
New Integrations, Features, and Updates
With our crack team in place, we could really get to work on integrations and features that you requested.
Tuesdays are our integration release days, with some pretty big names coming this year. Here's a list of the integrations that we launched this year:

New Platform Features
We added some really useful functionality to our widgets this year too.
Cloning widgets makes creating dashboards so much faster, meaning you can clone and set up multiple widget from the same integration.
Add Annotations and Goals to Graphs
As well, we added the ability to add annotations and goals to your line charts and date-based column charts!
Just open a widget's settings and you'll see options to add annotations and goals whenever this is available (in all date-based line and column charts).
Compare To Previous
When comparing two different date ranges on a line graph, you will now see one line overlayed on top of the other, to give you a quick comparison at a glance!
Widget Sharing Options
To make your data even more reportable, we added the ability to easily copy or share an individual widget. You can take this to a document, chat channel, paste it into an email - wherever you need to share that data!
Brand New Widgets
We also added two brand new widgets: an editable stat widget and an embed widget. The editable stat widget allows you to display any custom data in a stat format. For example, you could add a value of "5%', and a title of "Target Click-Through Rate".
The embed widget allows you to embed any URL and show it right there on your dashboard.
We don't 'set it and forget it' once we have an integration out there - we continuously improve based on requests! Some great examples of that are our updates to the metrics you can report on with both Google Analytics and Google Ads.
Mammoth Google Ads Upgrade
We launched a mammoth update to our Google Ads integration, with 40 new metrics to report on, new sections to filter data by, and an easy-to-navigate metrics list.
Update to Google Analytics
We released 79 new metrics that you can report on with our Google Analytics integration in your AgencyAnalytics dashboard. We also added new metrics and the ability to easily filter data by segments.
As we head into 2021, we're fully prepared to continue growing and release even more excellent integrations and features.
