New Integration: Bing Webmaster Tools
Now that we’ve finished updating our social modules, we’re moving onto some other long awaited new integrations.
Bing products have steadily grown in market share ever since the search engine was first released back in 2009. We added support for Bing rank tracking several years ago, and rolled out a Bing Ads integration back in June of 2017. With recent research showing that Bing search now refers over 30% of all web traffic, we could no longer ignore the need for additional Bing analytics.
So with that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce the release of our Bing Webmaster Tools integration!
Effective immediately, you’ll find it in the dark left-hand side navigation for all campaigns, under SEO –> Bing Webmaster Tools:
Similar to our Google Search Console integration, Bing Webmaster Tools is organized around three main tabs: Top Queries, Top Pages, and Crawl Errors.
Under “Top Queries”, toggle between graphical displays for “Clicks” and “Impressions” by search term.
…then scroll down for a breakdown of Clicks, Impressions, Average Click Position, and Average Impression Position by Keyword:
Under “Top Pages”, you’ll find page traffic data broken down graphically by Clicks and Impressions:
…then scroll down to see Clicks, Impressions, Average Click Position, and Average Impression Position broken down granularly by URL:
Finally, on the “Crawl Errors” tab, you’ll first find your crawl errors broken down by “type” in the pie graph, with error types being categorized as 4xx codes, 5xx codes, malware, DNS failure, and connection timeouts:
Then, to the right, is a graph where you can toggle the various error types over time:
Last, scroll down on the “Crawl Errors” tab to see a list of crawl results and Inbound Links broken down by site page:
And as usual, we’ve got you covered for reporting Bing Webmaster stats to your clients. Authorize your client users to view the Bing Webmaster integration by adjusting the sliders in the “Permissions” tab of the client user setup screen.
And don’t forget to modify your scheduled reports and report templates to include the new Bing Webmaster data!
We’ve had a ton of requests for the Bing Webmaster integration, and as usual, we hope that this update brings you another step closer to having all of your client reporting under one roof!
Check out our schedule for other planned updates at our roadmap.
